This Privacy and Security Statement applies to this Web Site which is operated by World Harvest Ministries ("WHM") under the domain name "www.whm.org.au" ("WHM Web Site"). This Privacy and Security Statement has been compiled in order to disclose our information gathering process, and subsequent data storage and manipulation.

Information Collected
The information that we will collect about you depends on the facilities that you use. Some areas have their own guidelines, and they are set out in the "Facility Guidelines" sections.

If you visit the WHM Web Site to read, browse or download information, our ISP's host computer will record the date, the pages viewed, your operating system platform, your browser type, the amount of time spent viewing particular pages, your state/ province, and your country. This means that we do not track anything personally identifiable. Your session will be tracked, but you will remain anonymous. Additionally, this information is only viewable to approved staff of WHM, and is accessed via a secured server using SSL (128Bit) certificates.

The WHM Web Site may also contain links to the Web Sites of third party providers of goods and services ("Third Party Web Sites"). If you access Third Party Web Sites, we have no control over any information collected by them. These Third Party Web Sites may have different privacy policies, so we encourage you to check their privacy statements. By providing Third Party Web Site links, we do not specifically endorse any of their products, services or beliefs.

Facility Guidelines

Please be aware that email is an unsecured medium and that information can be intercepted. However, when contacting WHM via email, we will do everything within our means to preserve the content of anything sent by you. Any personal information contained in your message will only be available to authorised office staff, except if you place a Prayer Request (see below).

Prayer Requests
This information is sent to us in the form of an email. We do not request any specific personal details, only your email address is necessary to submit this information. Your email will be printed and given to our specially selected intercessors. Our intercessors are aware of our privacy policy, and will treat your email as confidential.

Donation
Our online donation system is protected with the use of 128 Bit SSL encryption. This is the same level of protection offered by banking institutions. The information you enter into our system will be viewable only by authorised officers of WHM via a secure log on page. If your internet browser is suitably configured, it will tell you that a digital certificate is in operation. We collect information such as name, company (if applicable), position (if applicable), residential address, business hours telephone number, after hours telephone number, fax number (if applicable), email address, web address (if applicable) and credit card details. We access the secure server, print your details (for processing purposes) and then delete your record from our secure server. Once the donation has been processed via our electronic credit card terminal, the paper printout is stored under lock and key conditions. These records are only kept for six months, to fulfil our legal duties as set out by Westpac Australia Bank.

Sponsor a Child
The requested information can be typed into our web-based form, printed, then faxed or posted to us. At present we do not offer online submission of your details - however we will be adding this feature in the near future. We collect your name, residential address, home phone number, work phone number, and credit card details (if applicable). This information is only accessible to authorised office staff. The information you send to us is stored under lock and key conditions. These records are kept for as long as you remain an Orphan Child Sponsor. To terminate Orphan Sponsorship, you must make your request known in writing. At this time, your records will be destroyed at your request.

Exceptions
WHM is the sole owner of any information collected on its site. WHM will not share any of your information with any outside third party without your consent unless we are required to by law, or are asked to comply with requests made by law enforcement agencies.

Acceptance and Changes to the Privacy and Security Statement
By using the WHM Web Site, you acknowledge and accept the terms stated in this document.

This is the current Privacy and Security Statement, and replaces any other Privacy and Security Statement for the WHM Web Site previously available on our site. We may choose to alter the Privacy and Security Statement at any time. When a new version of this Statement is available, it will be made available on the WHM Web Site. You agree that by doing this, WHM has given you sufficient notice of the alterations.
